It is produced in Qichun, Hubei Province, which is located at 30 degrees north latitude. With favorable conditions of light, heat, rainfall and soil, it is conducive to the growth of mugwort.

The traditional manual method of making mugwort is still used. It goes through multiple processes such as sorting, sun-drying, beating, making mugwort fluff, and rolling, and is strictly tested.

Compared with ordinary mugwort, Qiai mugwort has a higher content of volatile oil and is rich in active ingredients.
